Can
you swim two lengths of Bo’ness Pool?
Would
you like to improve your technique?
Why
not join Bo’ness Amateur Swimming Club?
| OTHER
SPORTS |
The
ability to swim well is a prerequisite of several other sports
including Sub Aqua, Water Polo, Pentathlon, Triathlon, Wind
Surfing and highly recommended for participants of many others
such as Canoeing, Sailing and Water Skiing. |
| JOB
POTENTIAL |
Swimming
is one of the very few sports where amateur participants can
earn money because of their chosen sport.
We all accept that Professional Divers, Pool Attendants and Life Guards
need to be proficient swimmers in order to acquire an appointment
from which they make their living, but few of us consider the many
thousands of School, College and University Students that subsidise
their annual income through their ability to swim! Every summer Scottish
students take up positions throughout the UK, Europe and the USA
as Water Sport Instructors, Pool
Attendants and Life Guards.
As a student you can earn up to $3,000.00 for a couple of months
work at an American Summer Camp and spend a month touring the USA. |
Don’t
believe me!

Log
on to and
check it out!
(I
did it and was asked back the following year as Assistant
Water front Director, but you do need to be able to swim. (K
Wright.)) |
