Low Turnout It is disappointing to see such a low turnout for what is an important aspect of local representation. The Community Council is a statutory body with statutory responsibilities to represent the residents of their communities and as such are consulted on many issues affecting local communities. Non-political It is a non-political representative body and as such can be contacted about any local concern and will approach each and every issue without prejudice or other considerations. It is hoped that the newly elected community council will perform as well and as effectively as the previous one. |
