The wrecks that have been littering
the harbour and causing an obstruction to other yachts being able
to properly use the harbour facilities have at last been moved.
On Saturday afternoon (23 July) the owner was
seen to move the last two of his hulks from Bo'ness harbour.
It had been reported that one of these boats
had been moved earlier in the week and moored on the outer east
harbour wall.
Falkirk Council, owners and harbour authority
for Bo'ness Harbour have for some time been attempting to legally
remove them from the harbour as they were both an eyesore and
danger to other harbour users.
Whether their recent removal is the successful
outcome of these attempts or the owner, at last, seeing sense
and moving them under his own 'steam' will no doubt be revealed
in due course.
Whatever the reason
it is still good news!
