WHO's WHO in the History of Bo'ness
(c. 139 AD – Present) Compiled by: Ken Wright

The following index is a list of distinguished people who influenced the social, economic or geographical development of Bo' ness and or the surrounding area.

In most cases I have written a short biography, but where possible, for the more serious researcher or historian, this has been complimented by a more extensive one written by someone else such as Thomas Salmon (see biography). In other cases my introduction is to emphasize aspects of an association with Bo' ness or indeed the opposite to highlight work not associated with Bo' ness, but very important when reading about that particular personality. There are also several cases where history is vague or information lacking. In these cases we would like to hear from any reader who has additional information.

Lastly this is not intended to be a complete works and can be added to indefinitely as more information, photographs and diagrams are made available. No doubt certain readers will consider that people who are included shouldn't be and that othesr should, but I hope that the reader will appreciate when reading the following biographies that Bo' ness has had a distinguished and sometimes colourful list of historical characters intimately associated with its development.
